Administrator / Receptionist

Sacred Heart Home, as all facilities owned by the Little Sisters of the Poor, exists to extend hospitality towards the Aged suffering from financial need, loneliness or other difficulties. We along with our staff continually endeavour the charism of our first Little Sister, St Jeanne Jugan by ensuring the residents feel at home, respected, secure and loved.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled administrator to join our team to contribute to the smooth running of our Sacred Heart Home based in Brockville, Dunedin. This position is perfect for someone who has experience in administration and receptionist roles and is looking to expand their career in the aged care industry.

· Permanent Part Time, 18 to 22 Hours/week between 8:30am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the management team
  • Manage and maintain resident records and files
  • Process accounts payable, and receivable
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and policies
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings and events
  • Answer phone calls, greet visitors and direct them to appropriate staff members
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, their families and visitors
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements:

  • A friendly and welcoming personality
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in the aged care industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office (Xero

experience is desirable although not essential as training will be provided).

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
