ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial VP to lead our sales efforts in our fast-paced digital marketing agency. As the Commercial VP, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new business initiatives, and bringing sales oportunities in Colombia. Your expertise in digital marketing, excellent commercial skills, and proven track record of achieving sales targets will be instrumental in our agency's success.
This role sits in the intersection of new Business Development and Sales. You will be the first senior Commercial/Sales hire in Colombia. A critical component of this role is the ability to operate autonomously, develop, nurture, and grow our commercial and sales unit against aggressive growth targets. NP Digital is in the enviable position of having a reputable thought leadership strategy who self-generates thousands of leads annually. As a result, we have a pipeline of Colombia wide opportunities which needs to be pursued, but most importantly your role will be exploring and developing external (outbound) leads or bringing your own client relationships to the business. The ability to engage and develop relationships at all levels of the organization is crucial – and closing deals is essential.
To be considered, candidates must reside and be eligible to work in Colombia and are required to be fluent in Spanish and English.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for the company: Create a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the agency's overall business objectives. This includes identifying target markets, setting revenue goals, and formulating effective sales tactics
- Drive revenue growth: Take ownership of the agency's revenue targets and proactively pursue new business opportunities. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, utilizing effective sales techniques and tools to generate leads and close deal
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling for new enterprise clients. Ensure excellent client satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Work closely with the senior management team to align sales efforts with overall agency goals. Provide valuable insights and recommendations based on market trends, competitor analysis, and client feedback
- Stay informed about industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in the digital marketing industry, including emerging technologies, consumer behavior, and market trends. Leverage this knowledge to identify innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge
- Monitor and analyze sales performance: Track sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team and individual performance. Provide regular reports and presentations to the executive team, highlighting sales achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of sales experience in the communications and marketing industry, with a strong track record of consistently meeting sales targets. Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is required
- Digital marketing expertise: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, tactics, and technologies, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, and email marketing. Familiarity with data analytics and marketing automation tools is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills: Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a high-performing sales team. Demonstrated experience in hiring, training, and managing sales professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships
- Strategic mindset: Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and meet business objectives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify market opportunities and devise effective solutions
- Results-oriented: A passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets. Proven ability to close deals and negotiate contracts successfully. A track record of building long-term client relationships and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree or other relevant postgraduate degree is a plus
